Clients sometimes ask us why we don’t charge per hour for recruitment. The answer is quite logical.
We do not charge by the hour, because you shouldn’t have to worry that the metre is running! We want to find the best possible candidate.
As we said previously, in spite of very specific advertisements, unemployment makes people desperate, and 3 000 applications for an advertised position is more the norm than the exception.
We sift through these piles of applications to find the diamond between the rest. We give this 100% of our attention because we do not want to miss that particular person who could be your ideal next employee. This means that we regularly clock many more hours than any client would expect. This is what we do and what we enjoy! We do not want to be in the position where we give you, our client, less time and attention because extra hours will cost you more.
Imagine a further implication of per hour tariffs – you would never know what a placement would cost! Our clients deserve to know placement costs up front.
Typically, fees for recruitment are a percentage of the annual salary for the position. The reason for this should now be apparent – It allows our clients to be able to budget and plan and it enables us as recruitment agency to focus on finding the right employee and add value to our client’s business.
So, no, we do not charge per hour!
